Meet Emerging Sustainability Reporting Standards Like the CSRD’s 

Regulators are expanding the scope and rigor of disclosure requirements. Most prominently, the EU has implemented the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as part of a comprehensive roll-out of sustainable finance and climate-related regulations. While it’s aligned closely with the TCFD and other voluntary frameworks, the CSRD is the law, and compliance is compulsory. Through the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the directive also spells out requirements in detail.

The CSRD requires a “double materiality assessment”  to disclose change risk’s expected impacts to operations and balance sheets, as well as the company’s impact on climate, environment, and people.
