Jupiter Intelligence Accelerates Global Expansion with Key Executive Appointments in Product and Sales
Jupiter Intelligence strengthens its leadership team with Alan Samuels as Head of Product and Jaz Sidhu as Global Head of Sales.
These leaders bring deep expertise in enterprise software and scaling high-growth organizations, positioning Jupiter to expand its reach as demand surges for climate risk analytics amid $320 billion in natural disaster losses in 2024.
Every week brings a new headline about extreme weather's impact on global business: flooded factories in Southeast Asia, drought-stricken farmland in Europe, storm-damaged infrastructure across the Americas. With natural disasters causing $320 billion in losses in 2024 alone, organizations worldwide are grappling with a harsh reality: climate risk is no longer a future concern—it's reshaping business decisions today.
For Jupiter Intelligence, these escalating challenges have driven unprecedented demand for its climate risk analytics platform. Already trusted by 25% of the world's largest companies, Jupiter's climate analytics platform is relied upon by 20% of the Global 100 and half of the largest U.S. lenders. The company's solutions have been adopted by at least one of the world's five largest organizations across critical sectors—from asset management and banking to chemicals, insurance, and utilities—reflecting the universal need for sophisticated climate risk analysis.
As organizations race to build resilience against what the World Economic Forum calls "an era of environmental breakdown," Jupiter is strengthening its leadership team for its next phase of growth, announcing two key executive appointments that bring deep expertise in enterprise software, data analytics, and scaling high-growth organizations.
Alan Samuels joins Jupiter as Head of Product, bringing a distinctive blend of experience that spans global financial institutions, technology startups, and strategic consulting. His track record of innovation at financial powerhouses like Bloomberg, Standard & Poor's, and Fitch Ratings comes at a pivotal moment, as organizations worldwide seek to better understand and disclose their climate risks.
Throughout his career, which includes leadership roles at regulatory technology firms Alacra, Exiger, and Encompass, Samuels has consistently transformed complex data challenges into business opportunities. His achievements include growing a $100 million+ product line, launching successful new business divisions, and guiding two startups to successful exits. At Standard & Poor's, he led the development of, and incubated, credit risk tools and professional service solutions that became the foundation of the Risk Solutions business line. At Encompass, he led the product transformation from a corporate-focused due diligence and risk assessment tool to a true enterprise-grade platform for the largest financial institutions to manage Corporate Digital Identity.
Beyond his product expertise, Samuels brings valuable climate insight through his decade-long board membership at FFI Solutions, a research and advisory firm focused on energy transition and net-zero investment strategies. This combination of technical innovation and climate expertise uniquely positions him to advance Jupiter's mission of turning sophisticated climate science into actionable insights.
An Englishman with US, UK, and Irish citizenship, Samuels now lives in New York City, where he can be found cheering on his beloved Spurs (Tottenham Hotspur FC) along with his adopted hometown teams: the Mets, Knicks, and Giants.
Jaz Sidhu joins Jupiter as Global Head of Sales, bringing over two decades of experience scaling high-growth SaaS organizations. His recent success at Datamaran, an ESG platform company, showcases his ability to drive transformation in mission-driven organizations—driving a 10X increase in annual recurring revenue while growing the sales organization across the UK, Europe, and NYC.
At Sprinklr, Sidhu led the global strategic accounts team to achieve 200% year-over-year growth across key accounts, managing a $60M book of business with some of the world's largest enterprises. His experience extends to successful leadership roles at Signavio (acquired by SAP for $1B) and ReeVoo, where he scaled the business from $7M to $30M ARR prior to its private equity acquisition.
Throughout his career, Sidhu has demonstrated a particular talent for building and leading enterprise sales teams during periods of rapid growth. His approach focuses on developing standardized, repeatable sales processes that enable organizations to scale effectively.
Based in London, Sidhu brings a global perspective to Jupiter's commercial operations. His proven success in both European and American markets positions Jupiter to accelerate its expansion as climate resilience becomes an increasingly urgent priority for organizations worldwide.
As climate-related disasters continue to intensify and regulatory pressures mount, Jupiter's combination of scientific rigor and business practicality has never been more vital. With Samuels and Sidhu joining the leadership team, Jupiter is positioned to expand its impact as the trusted partner in climate resilience for organizations worldwide.
"As climate risks reshape the global business landscape, organizations need both sophisticated analytics and practical ways to act on those insights," said Rich Sorkin, Jupiter Co-founder and CEO. “Alan and Jaz bring complementary expertise that will help us deliver on both fronts—transforming complex climate science into actionable intelligence and ensuring more organizations worldwide can access these critical insights. Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to scale and help businesses build resilience in an increasingly volatile climate.”
